Twenty11 share knowledge with researchers at housing event

We were excited to be invited to speak at the CaCHE South-Southeast Knowledge Exchange Hub alongside Professor Ed Ferrari, Director of the Centre for Regional Economic and Social Research (CRESR) at Sheffield Hallam University, who have been carrying out an independent study of Twenty11.

CaCHE, the UK Collaborative Centre for Housing Evidence, is a consortium of 13 institutions led by the University of Glasgow – a multidisciplinary partnership between academia, housing policy and practice. Their researchers produce evidence and new research that contribute to tackling the UK’s housing problems at a national, devolved, regional, and local level.

Sarah Mei Ying North, Twenty11's Assistant Director, attended the event and shared why we decided to set up Twenty11, how our offer is unique amongst housing associations, how our tenants benefit from the many additional offers that are available to them - such as our Aspiration Pot and Community Potential Specialists - and how we offer personalised rent.

Annie Owens, Policy and Practice Officer at the Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH), commented after the event:

"Twenty11 have a really interesting model and it was good to hear from Sarah of the positive results for residents. It seems like a very beneficial approach."

As well as research institutions and housing organisations, representatives from Nationwide, Shelter, and HACT, the Housing Associations' Charitable Trust, also took part in the event. We have now been invited to speak at a future event which will focus on tenancy sustainment.
