Towards a career as an ambulance driver

Pattern circle

Imogen had a clear and ambitious long-term goal: to become an ambulance driver. Recognising that obtaining a driving licence was a critical first step, she set her sights on learning to drive as a foundational milestone in her career journey.

In March 2024, we worked with Imogen to create a Personal Success Plan (PSP) to help her work towards her goal. The primary focus was on enabling her to learn to drive, which would unlock future employment opportunities with the emergency services.

After successfully passing her driving theory test, Imogen applied for support through the Aspiration Pot — a funding initiative designed to help individuals pursue personal and professional development goals. The funding was approved and used to cover a 40-hour package of driving lessons with Red Driving School. Red Driving School is one of our partners and they have generously offered a discount for our tenants on any driving lessons we book through our PSPs.

In March 2025, Imogen passed her practical driving test on her first attempt — a remarkable achievement. Reflecting on her journey, Imogen said:

“I wouldn’t have been able to do this without the Aspiration Pot. Twenty11 have helped my family prosper with freedom!”

With her driving licence now secured, Imogen is actively exploring training pathways to become an ambulance driver. Her dedication and determination are inspiring, and we are incredibly proud of the progress she has made so far.

We love to help our tenants achieve their goals - find out how Twenty11 can help to realise your potential.
