Young tenant flies high

Jermaine is the son of one of our tenants. Both the tenant and Jermaine attended our virtual social event earlier this year, where we talked about our Realising Potential Approach and Jermaine requested a call with one of our Community Potential Specialists. Although still a young man himself, Jermaine is passionate about supporting young people in his community and giving back to the area that welcomed him and his family many years ago. Jermaine has aspirations to set up a platform for young people to display their creative talents online and to be able to express themselves without fear or judgement. He has created business plans and engaged with local charities to see how he can support their youth work. He has also become involved in the groups Young Resident Forum where he most recently attended the TPAS Fishbowl Forum sharing how we are supporting young tenants.

After working with his Community Potential Specialist, Jermaine shared with the team:

“I found it easy to engage with the team because it offers help to everyone. The team understood the barriers that I had in my life and they put in place necessary help to alleviate these.”

Jermaine is currently working on his Personal Success Plan focussed on creating and sharing content with young people in this community.

Big things are coming and we’re hoping this inspires more young people to follow their dream!
